It is finally out. The long anticipated Empire Total War. Every time a new Total War game is released, it always surpasses it’s predecessor. Empire Total War is no different, it is just stunning.

There has always been real life characters in the Total War games but i was genuinely surprised to find Isaac Newton as a “gentleman” character. Place him in a city to speed up construction times. You can also decide exactly what your nation is going to research, be it the army, navy, agriculture, cultural or religious buildings which will give you an edge over other nations.

The entire interface is different to all the other Total War games and the graphics and sound are breathtaking. The intro sequence runs like a high budget movie and the long awaited debut of the naval battles do not disappoint. Although it does take some getting used to. That follows with the land battles also. I have been used to the Total War land battle interfaces being similar to each other, but there is a different feel to Empire Total War which takes a bit of getting used to.

There has on release been 2 different versions of the game. I recommend you total war buy “Special Forces” edition, which costs a few dollars or pounds more.
